Today at folk dance class we practiced Artvin and Ankara dances. We also had a lovely surprise from Burak, who brought his Bağlama to class, so we took a a lovely break listening to him play.
The language of music and dance is universal and engages us with each other in a meaningful way. We practice different region’s dances year round and perform at various events in the greater Bay Area. Classes are held on Tuesdays, 7:30 pm to 9:15 pm, at Shawl Anderson Dance Studio in Rockridge.
