On Sunday, April 23rd 2017, The Berkeley Turkish School will host International Children’s Day Festival where we will celebrate peace and diversity.

Come and join us for this fun and meaningful event, and invite your friends, too!

Our festival will feature Live Balkan Music, Turkish folklore dance performance, delicious Turkish food, cotton candy, and special entertainment for children such as a surprise Fairy, face painting and many more fun activities for the whole family. There will be beautiful and authentic Turkish crafts and spices, like in a bazaar in Istanbul! Also as a part of our fundraising initiative, we will be hosting a raffle and a silent auction.

If you can’t make it to the festival, you can still support us by:

  • Donating your professional services or products to our festival raffle
  • Donating funds on our website to support our school’s programs
  • Attending our monthly parent seminars (conducted in English)
  • Contributing to and supporting the Nostalgic Turkish Music Evening we will hold in September (Please check our website for this event – details coming soon.)

About the Berkeley Turkish School

Berkeley Turkish School is a place where we connect our past with our future.

The mission of BTS is to inspire the children of the Turkish American community and their ability to understand, speak, read, and write Turkish. In addition, the students learn about their diverse cultural heritage through creative play, songs, traditions, geography, history, and literature.  We developed our program to support children to thrive in this engaged community which is deeply invested in their success and vitality.
